| After
seeing the musical Annie
in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, three
year-old Desi Lydic began reciting every line,
singing every note, and even sporting a red curly
wig. Destined to become an actress, or suffer
from multiple personality disorder, she chose
acting and soon attended summer programs at the
Young Actors Institute at The Youth Performing
Arts School. Small roles in theater and commercials
within the region soon followed. Her first paid
gig was a Kroger commercial and after testing
for a pilot in Nashville, TN, she headed out west
in hopes of greater opportunities.
Since coming to Los
Angeles, Desi has made a splash on the Improv
comedy scene. She has studied and performed at
famed schools “The Groundlings” and
“Improv Olympic” . Desi recently starred
with William Shatner in the Improv based show
Invasion Iowa, an unscripted satire of a Hollywood
film descending upon an unsuspecting town. She
has had memorable guest appearances on shows such
as CSI
NY,
What I Like About You,
and Complete Savages.
In addition to Out
At The Wedding,
Desi can be seen on the upcoming WB show Pepper
Dennis with
Rebecca Romijn and Brooke Burns, as well as in
the independent films Screw
Cupid, Stand
Up and playing
duel lead roles in Big
Heart City with
Seymour Cassell, Shawn Andrews, and EP Matthew
Harrison. |
