| Director
of Photography Alex Vendler has been shooting
independent films for over ten years. He received
a "Best Cinematography " 1996 Independent
Spirit Award nomination for the black and white
feature The Bible and Gun
Club. Since then Alex has shot over about
20 features including Bob Odenkirk's successful
directing debut, Melvin Goes
to Dinner, as well as a selection of Odenkirk's
television pilot work for HBO, Fox, and Comedy
Central. More recently, Vendler shot Alan Cumming's,
directorial effort, Suffering
Man's Charity. Demonstrating keen interest
in emerging talent, Vendler formed a collaboration
with young director Tom Putnam on the two award
winning short films, Tom Hits
His Head, and Broadcast
23, as well as the lauded documentary,
Red White Black and Blue.
Vendler has worked internationally on projects
such as Canadian indy hero, John Hazlett's successful
second feature These Girls,
shot in far eastern New Brunswick. Alex Vendler
is based in Los Angeles.
